Glossary For Football Betting Terms

If your a bit of a beginner to betting on the football there will be a few betting terms you may not be familiar with.
In the glossary below we look to cover all the betting lingo and different types of bets you may come across whilst placing your bets or viewing our free betting tips

• Accumulator - An accumulator also known as an Acca is a cumulative bet where you select a number of teams you think will win/draw and link them all together, to win an accumulator all your selections must be correct
• Bookmaker - A bookmaker is a company or a person that accepts bets from you
• Double - A double is when you choose two selections and link them together as one bet, both selections need to be victorious for you to win the bet
• Evens - Evens is the name given for odd's 1/1 as a fraction, or 2.00 as a decimal both return the same amount, if your ten pound bet wins at odd's of "evens" your stake is simply doubled to twenty pounds
• Clean sheet - A clean sheet is the term used when a football team do not concede a single goal during a football game
• Draw No Bet - is a type of football bet you can place. If the game ends in a draw, your full stake will be refunded
• Double chance - Double chance is a type of football bet where you can win if your selected team wins or draws
• B.T.T.S - Both teams to score
• Fold - Is the chosen number of selected games in an accumulator, E.g 4 fold accumulator meaning you have chosen four games to bet on in your accumulator
• Handicap - Is a type of bet you can place that gives your team more or less goals during a game, e.g Man United - 1 or +1 then you can place your bet with extra or less goals for improved odd's
• Single - Is the term used for placing a bet on a single game on its own
• Score cast - The score cast is correct score of the game and the first goal scorer combined, you must get both correct to guess the score cast.
